Dig & Clean is built around a clear loop: dig up dirty junk or buried treasure, spray the object clean to reveal it, decide whether it belongs in your museum or your selling route, and reinvest in better shovels and spray bottles. The official Roblox description confirms every part of that loop. Current walkthrough footage adds a useful picture of the live interface—Shop, Gear, Collection, Sell, cleaning stations, and a museum—but exact controls, prices, income, and unlock conditions can change.
Start with the job you are doing now
Beginner Guide
Complete one full dig-clean-display-or-sell cycle, learn the interface, and make a careful first upgrade.
How to Dig
Choose a target your shovel can handle, read progress feedback, and avoid wasting time on an over-strong object.
How to Clean Items
Move a dirty find to the cleaning step, reveal it completely, and judge the result before selling or displaying it.
Museum Guide
Use your own museum as a curated collection rather than sending every find straight to Sell.
If you have just joined, use the Beginner Guide first. If the dirt target refuses to progress, go to How to Dig. If you have an unrevealed object, use How to Clean Items. If you are deciding what to keep, the Museum Guide explains the decision without inventing slot or income rules.
The complete first-session route
Begin on the main island and identify the large on-screen destinations before interacting: the home icon, museum icon, Shop, Gear, Collection, Sell area, and the equipment stand. Community walkthroughs consistently show these controls and landmarks in August 2026 footage. Your device may present interaction prompts differently, so use the action label shown by Roblox rather than copying a PC key onto mobile or console.
Take the starter shovel to a nearby dig target. Work on one object long enough to learn what successful progress looks like. If the game says the target is too strong, leave it and choose an easier one; a stronger shovel is the progression answer, not repeated input. Once the dirty object is free, carry it to the cleaning station and spray until its identity is revealed.
Open Collection after the reveal. Current community footage shows records for item identity and collection progress, with some entries also displaying rarity-colored presentation, weight, condition, and times found. Treat the exact fields as update-sensitive, but use the menu as your memory: a newly discovered entry is more informative than the dirty shell you first pulled from the ground.
Finally, decide whether to display the find in your museum or move it into your selling route. The official description confirms a personal museum for showing your best finds. Community guides also discuss the museum alongside money progression, but passive income rates, slot limits, and replacement rules still need live confirmation. Inspect the museum’s own prompts before removing a good display.
Learn the interface without getting lost
Make your first upgrade solve a bottleneck
Do not buy a tool just because it is farther along a colorful stand. Watch one full loop and identify the slow part. If an object blocks digging progress or takes too long to free, compare shovels. If cleaning is the long part, compare spray bottles. If walking and carrying dominate the route, reorganize your path before spending Robux on a movement product.
Community footage shows Gear tabs and equipment stands, and one walkthrough displays shovel, spray, and detector categories. The official description only guarantees better shovels and spray bottles, so detector behavior remains a community-observed live feature. Check the current item card for the displayed stats and cost. A name, color, or physical size is not a reliable performance comparison.
Use the Upgrade Guide for a two-loop comparison. It helps decide when a modest upgrade that fixes today’s target is better than saving for a tool whose next area or requirement you cannot yet use.
Keep the loop efficient
Batch decisions, not unsupported mechanics. Dig several nearby targets only when your carrying or storage state allows it. Clean each item completely before judging it. Check Collection when a reveal appears unusual. Visit the museum with a clear replacement candidate, and sell only after separating keeps from routine finds.
The shortest route is not always the best progression route. A distant zone can contain attractive discoveries yet lose time if your shovel struggles or your cleaning step becomes a queue. Use the Locations Guide to compare access, target strength, travel, cleaning, and selling as one circuit instead of ranking an island from one lucky drop.
What is confirmed and what can change
Officially confirmed: Dig & Clean lets you dig dirty junk and buried treasure, spray objects clean, hunt rare items, show finds in your own museum, buy better shovels and spray bottles, and play on Mobile, Tablet, PC, and Console. Those are safe foundations for every guide here.
Community corroborated: August 2026 walkthroughs show Shop, Gear, Collection, cleaning, selling, equipment stands, museum structures, colored dig markers, and additional areas. Exact prices, inputs, item names, rarity order, odds, income formulas, target strength, and unlock conditions remain version-sensitive. Each dedicated guide tells you where to read the current interface instead of filling those fields with guesses.
A clean route for returning players
When you return after an update, open Collection first and note your discovery count. Confirm the equipped shovel and spray bottle in Gear. Run one familiar dig-clean-sell or display loop before changing equipment. Then visit any newly advertised area with a baseline for comparison. This makes an apparent improvement measurable and helps you notice a changed price, stat, or museum rule.
For a focused next step, continue to Items when collection is the goal, Tools when speed is the problem, or Progression when you are deciding where money and time should go.
